Friday, March 14th is a WCPSS traditional calendar teacher workday. If your school does not follow this calendar, you may elect to seek an excused absence from your school’s administration to attend this educational event.

About me

I graduated from Millbrook High School awhile back and headed to UNCG for my undergraduate nursing degree. I started my nursing career as a pediatric intensive care nurse at UNC. After a few years, I returned to school to pursue my master's at Duke. Upon graduation, I started my NP career in Pediatric Bone Marrow Transplant and eventually fell in love with pediatric surgery. I have been an NP for 19 years and have been in APP leadership for 16 years. For the past 5 years, I have been the chief APP officer at WakeMed with a focus to facilitate APP growth, engagement and enhance the quality and scope of their practice.
