Jennifer Elliott is the Director of Critical Care Nursing services at WakeMed Health and Hospitals, a large community, level 1 Trauma, STEMI, and Stroke center. She oversees five critical care units and the Rapid Response Program. Jennifer is an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist with over 29 years of nursing experience and established cardiac and critical care expertise. Before transitioning into a Nursing Director role, she was a Clinical Nurse Specialist, focusing on initiatives to ensure quality and safety for the critical care patient population. She has presented on impactful projects at local and national levels, including sepsis identification, improving antimicrobial stewardship, and nurses' role in advancing clinical outcomes. She earned her BSN from East Carolina University and later returned to earn her MSN as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Most recently, she completed a Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Jennifer is recognized by the North Carolina Board of Nursing as a Clinical Nurse Specialist and is nationally certified in Adult Health (APRN, ACNS-BC).
